Why I Finally Customized My R51

If you follow Girls With Guns Women's Gun Club on IG then you already know I made the decision to customize my Remington R51 and I am so happy with the outcome. None of my guns had been customized and when I finally found a locally owned business with the color that I had been dreaming of I said, what the heck. Lets be honest, buying firearms gets EXPENSIVE!!! and when you get into customizing and adding bells and whistles to your guns you can easily get into spending $1,000's.

With the Gun Candy cerakote job I got done I'll share my pros and cons so far. Pros: Its absolutely gorgeous. What I asked for and what they claim the color to be is Rose Gold but honestly it looks more purplish. I still love it. The job is warrantied, sort of. Thats a whole different post. Cons: The warranty offered on the Gun Candy cerakote job I received is only good for one new painting. Unlike the non-Gun Candy cerakote jobs that are warrantied as long as you own the gun. I believe it nicks easily. I see serration marks on the barrel after shooting about 20 rds through it. The biggest con of all is because it is so beautiful I don't want to shoot it and mess up the Gun Candy cerakote job.

So why did I decide to customize my Remington R51???? Truthfully its because I wanted a pretty ass gun and that's what I got.

If you are interested in knowing where the job was completed you can follow them on IG at orileycustomdesigns. They are a veteran owned company. Being that I, myself, am a Army Veteran making the decision to choose them for the job was a no brainer.

I hope you enjoyed this read.
